The meeting went good. Everybody was. Like in the decisions that we made, but. You know, changing the strategy towards SEO and a little bit less on the social media side.

As far as the calls are concerned, I made sure that we sat down and gave it the attention that it deserved.

And I had some results. Seems like a lot of people didn’t want to answer. the phone, which is interesting since they’ve given up their phone numbers.

So that’s not being done. The other thing is, is that some things happen with AdWords. I don’t know yet what it is.

I have pressed my team hard to figure it out because I’ve had two conversions myself in the last week and a half, two weeks, and even mine is showing zero conversions.

So like on mine, zero conversions, here’s my spend. And so, just realize that it’s not just yours. That’s broke it.

It’s like all of them. So.

I know that they were like deprecating cookies on Chrome. Was something I don’t know when that was going to happen and what that entail for online marketing but.

I don’t know why, but that’s definitely an issue. We’ve I’ve gone through personally over the last week several different days and I’ve clicked through just so you’re aware on landing pages web pages not paid ads but just like going through on mobile view because as we’ve been talking about the mobile haven’t made a whole lot of updates honestly because it’s been looking really good.

I mean, it’s there. And it’s it doesn’t seem to have any issues. It doesn’t seem to limit anybody from from whatever’s happening in that.

And everybody I’ve talked to on the phone as if all right time. Add the stuff to cart and checking out it seems easy enough to use.

So yeah, one thing I was going to tell you is. I probably mentioned this previously, but I wanted to bring it up again.

One of the things that I really wanted to know is. What people are, how far down they’re scrolling, where they’re looking and where they’re clicking.

So we usually use a heat map. I went back and said, Hey, are we using a heat map on on this on bear iron website?

And the answer is no. And I was like, why? And then they educated me and reminded me Shopify doesn’t allow us to put a heat map on it.

So so the team is supposed to be looking into Shopify heat map for for the site. Hopefully we can find one and run it for 30 or 60 or 90.

Many days. I think that there’s one called orange theory that they’re going to look into. We’ve used it before, but Shopify kind of blocks some of that stuff because I don’t know why it’s just how their site is built on a proprietary platform.

So if we can get that, it’s going to be a big deal. It might cost us 30 bucks a month or something.

Think is what it is. It may be less, but it’s not super expensive. But I want to be able to see that and see what users are doing.

If we get orange theory, I know that it’s pretty cool because it will actually show us where their mouse moves and clicks.

So some of those videos are really cool to be able to see like what they’re doing because we’re driving in traffic.

Mean, AdWords is showing less right now. Our AdWords traffic has kind of, I know Saturday and Sunday are kind of down because of the way we set it up.

But I mean, our impressions just don’t seem to be super, super high. So we’re down, you know, almost 4,000 impressions when down spin, but it’s because we’re not getting the impressions.

Our impressions share is still pretty good. But, you know, our clicks are down, our cost is down. Those are obviously tied together, and this is down all tied together at some level.

So, so we’re just, we’re not getting a lot there. Search console, we still continue. So, impressions organically go up and clicks in.

Our click percentage has gone down, but we’re ranking for more and more words, so therefore what’s happening is because we rank for words, you get some impressions, but you’re not going to get the clicks.

So it’s kind of this like yin and yang where it’s like, when you start ranking for something, it’s great.

You’re in position like page five, so you might randomly get something, but it’s going to kind of tweak and mess with your numbers a little bit.

But. But the last I looked on your rankings were up here on position trackability. the keywords that we’ve put in, we’ve been looking better and then, come on computer, we’ve gone up here.

It’s all time to positive traction. So even for the year, we’re up in keywords and we’re up in traffic.

So it has been growing and we’ve gotten lot done. So, but it just seems like people just aren’t searching, know, even though it’s kind of come back up here on impressions and clicks.

So all of that’s been looking good. And then I show you this, I don’t know what I did again, 20 30 days over 30 days.

We’re up here. So it’s, it’s good in the way that some of it’s coming back, but AdWords is kind of acting a little bit finicky.

And I don’t want to make a change just yet because it, the changes we had made worked, but we narrowed in on the market.

And then until we know conversions 100%.

It’s hard to know. Christian will give us an overview on meta, and we’ll see where we’re at with that.

We’ve adjusted how we’re doing spending on social and SEO and all of that. So we’re going to modify that.

Yeah, for now. There’s a month will be the pricing on the phone recordings. So we just need to put a card on file for that into the CRM.

Okay. We can talk next week about podcast, I’d like to consider putting you on some podcast. We have a new program where we’re pushing this.

It’s 50 bucks a month. And then we can load in as many podcasts. And the goal would be to put you on like construction, GC, anything similar to that.

And then 50 bucks a month. And then that’s it. It pays for the license, someone managing it, I’m putting it into a system.

So I’m basically taking all different clients that way you’re not paying, you know, $800 a month for a person and then another like $500 for the program, you’re just getting a portion of it, but they’ll submit your information.

We try to get you on podcasts.

Those that like add on podcast or I’m a guest on a podcast or you’re a guest.

Okay. So you would talk to them about construction, construction trends. Why you built your machinery. What’s your name? There it is, things like that.

And then we take that and kind of put it on social media, just real easy. Then once we have some videos, we kind of take some of those videos and take little excerpts.

We would still use it in social media, part of our budget in social media, but it’s not gonna be as big as it has been.

And then we take some of those and we put it on the camera. So you’ll just need to be somewhere with a nice background, maybe your logo, or you can do one of those, like create your own logo, where you have like bare iron works and your phone number or something, where you know, you do your screen, try to get something solid behind you.

So you don’t like have this back and forth. And then putting you on those podcasts will bring notoriety. It is a commitment of time, meaning you need to do it for six months to really get some traction, but it has worked.

I’ve done it for eight or nine months. And the two things that’s really done for me is my rankings online have really gone up, but also I’ve gotten a handful of.

Leads, I’ve gotten some people that have come through. So I only get it about once every three months, but they’ve turned in some good leads.

And for me, paying, you know, 150 bucks to get my phone ring, I’m like, yeah, all day, every day, you know, so like you getting the notoriety for people to see you to kind of build the brand, you know, for people to know it, we can put other people if you’re like, hey, let’s do this one for Mike or, you know, ever else, we can do that as well.

But it’s just, you know, trying to push you to one or two podcasts a month. It’s a 20, 30 minute, you jump on, you talk, and then you’re off, and then we take care of the rest.

So okay.

So we’ll talk a little bit more about that, but I’m going to get you set up in that. And then and we’ll talk about this later.

These are on my notes from Tammy. I don’t know if you read any of these. Are you aware or did she bring up or did you bring up moving to different markets?
Roggen
Yeah, we’ve talked about it because we’ve been getting a lot of interest on islands, creating islands, Guam, Rico. And the reason being is because, you know, it’s an island of soil.
Roggen
You have to work with what you got there. And so we’ve been shipping them out. And we made one that like, it’s the same screen, but it can ship in like a flat unit and then they can stand it up and bolt it together.

And so we’ve discussed about marketing in those markets that specific product. But we want to make sure that we don’t market it anywhere in the mainland US, somewhere where like China is going to pick up on the idea because it’s something that China gets ahold of it.

They are going to copy it and they’re going to flood the market pretty hard. Alright, I’ll look into that and let you know that’s going to kind of tie to this so I’m going to move that over so I review that as well.

And the other thing that Mike had an idea about on that is like specifically the guys in the Caribbean.
Roggen
They pretty much don’t have equipment dealerships on those islands. And so it’s usually a guy on the island that’s tasked with finding heavy equipment for construction company there.

And he said that usually the first place they’ll probably go is like the Miami Florida area and start looking for heavy equipment down there.

Okay. Okay. At a high level that’s kind of what I had. Everything next week will be a little bit more in debt will probably want to schedule about an hour.

Have to go through it, but it’ll be more in depth in the way of like, like, what are we doing in each of these verticals?

What do we want to change? Where’s AdWords at? know, do we want to make a change? Which the answer is probably not.

But I also want to see how we end the month here over the next few days. If you’re at 200, then that’s good.

You know, hopefully the sales team can make a good push and get you know, over 200 to kind of catch up for the year.

Even though we’re behind on the year, especially because of June of negative, you know, we wanted 340 and and even we were 400 behind our 40,000 behind the year over year.

So, you know, I feel like though we should be able to do better than 2023 as long as we continue to train.

But that’s now going to be, you know, how do we want to how do we want to push it and I think you know anything that we can do in the last four months like podcasts and some additional web pages and stuff will help moving into next year.

So hopefully the momentum of that word and everything that we’ve done will kind of build into next year as well.

More kind of high level looking into the future. Something that we discussed in our meeting that we had last Monday is that we’ve been wanting to get more products online that we can market to the same customer base.

But we identified that there’s a bottleneck with me because I’m the technology guy. I’m looking to get an assistant of some sort that can help me with that workload so we can get more pages built out with new products, get it into our manufacturing system.

And so we’re looking to of expand our store a little bit there. And then we’re hoping also that assistant can help bring me up because I have a

An act making YouTube videos. I’ve only posted three videos on the YouTube page and it’s I mean they’ve gotten tens of thousands of hits and so I’m thinking that if I can push that a little bit too I think that’d be beneficial.

Are you thinking virtual or are you thinking in US?

For the assistant I’m looking for I’m wanting somebody maybe here in the Charleston area that I can work with the person just because it’s easier to bring dump.

I’m definitely US based. Okay.

Okay so then it’s going to be kind of a mix of a e-commerce manager, the data manager that’s like dealing with a lot of spreadsheet data and getting stuff.

Into the systems and maybe somebody that can help the software talk to each other is kind of the person I’m looking for there.
